We’ve passed the 30-day mark of the longest government shutdown in history. This Friday will likely be another missed paycheck for the more than 800,000 employees who were furloughed or told they would work without pay in the midst of the holiday season and still don’t have clarity about when they’ll see another paycheck. Government jobs were always seen as secure and stable, but unfortunately have shown wavering in an era where “unprecedented” has ironically become the norm. Many are rethinking their career choices or at least want to expand their options.
E. Brown Consulting is offering resume editing or a full rewrite at steeply discounted rates for government employees impacted by the shutdown. Please send requests to email@example.com.
In a statement, founder Ebony Brown said, “As a former public servant who made the transition to private sector, I understand the thought of leaving the public sector can be daunting – leaving the security, not being sure if your specific skillset has a place in the private sector or just the idea of doing something new. It’s not easy, but, with the right knowledge and materials, you can prepare yourself for a transition (or at least the option to do so).”
Additionally, E. Brown Consulting is offering any government workers with small businesses or side hustles a 20% discount on other services, such as communications planning, social media managing, research and analysis, and organizational efficiency support.
The specials will run through February 28, whether or not the shutdown is over before then.
